Is it bad that I find her sexier without her make up? the fact she is in sleeping robes not-withstanding
^ Naw, I'm totally with you. Something about her lips without any extra pigment just caught me.
It works both ways as well. In an (admittedly short) scene where she's restrained and interrogated by Sokka, she seems to rather enjoy it. It's all an act (everything she does is, after all), but that doesn't stop the lovely implications.
For an explanation, watch this vid or this one with your eyes closed, until Azula stops talking. Then open them, rewind, and realize that Ms. DeLisle used almost the same voice for a 14-year old girl as she did for a vampire in a schoolgirl outfit.
Damn I knew the recording from a review. Stupid X-Play.
To get full mileage out of this particular demonstration, try opening said video in a new tab, and then listen to just the audio while observing any of the above visual aids◊regarding Azula's visual depiction.
My God, they even have the same evil smirk!
She's only 14?! From the way she acted, I assumed that she was at least 16. This Troper now feels somewhat worse...
Is it bad that I don't care? It's not like you can tell, and they're all fictional.
Fictional characters have more rights than you do now, especially if they are under 18.
Which probably just means you can't create or possess any inappropiate artwork of characters under 18. If they want to be more strict than that, I think everyone on this page would be in trouble.
This Troper finds something rather enticing about the fact that after getting in with the Dai Li, Azula is seen to be wearing one of their uniforms◊(which looks too big on her, suggesting it was designed for a man). The fact that she infiltrated Ba Sing Se dressed as a Kyoshi warrior probably means that she didn't have any other clothes, but the context, and Azula's abrasive personality, makes one wonder at how shegot it...
This troper always thought she either ordered them to give it to her or killed one for it and, of course, the evulz. Your Mileage may vary as to whether or not this is sexier.
Speaking of that "not-much-older character", seeing Suki tie the warden of the Boiling Rock prison up so quickly obviously indicates proficiency in such activity... a strangely erotic level of proficiency. Sokka and Suki are going to havemust be having some fun times in the bedroom. Just wish she'd demonstrated that proficiency on Azula and her two pals...
Upon rewatching, one notes that Suki seemed rather honestly pleased after cajoling Sokka into that dress and makeup uniform and warpaint. The whole kneeling before her a few minutes earlier could be interpreted multiple ways as well.
There's an awful lot of detail given to the dirt on the soles of Toph's feet (see the page pic). And Toph's feet in general, since her bare feet are a major part of her character.
And that somehow just sounds wrong on its own.
Ember Island Players features the below conversation. Given Toph's enthusiastic love of laying the hurt on people...girl is a slut.
Toph punches Zuko in the arm.
Zuko: Ow! What was that for?
Toph: That's how I show affection.
She's just playful.
Actually, there may even be a fetish for playful roughness.
Being that one girl controls water and one controls earth, a mud-wrestling scene between Katara and Toph was all but inevitable. It finally happened in "The Runaway".
The outfits that they're wearing in that scene don't help matters either. It's hot, their Fire Nation outfits expose the most skin possible, and Katara and Toph are both barefoot. Talk about eye candy for boys...
Toph's nicknames for Katara have included "Sweetness" and, even more open to interpretation, "Sugar Queen".
The nicknames are mostly derisive but that just opens more doors. Many of those doors leading to S&M.
How can you forget Katara getting worked up and using her sweat to bend her way out of jail? That's right. Sweat. Salty, tasty sweat.
Katara was barefoot throughout "The Runaway" up until she pulled the final scam with Toph.
And, of course, Katara having the water in her blood bent by Hama. If only Katara used that skill some other time. Like on Toph. Or Aang. Or Suki. Or Ty Lee. Or Zuko. Or anyone not an old woman, for that matter.
And, of course, she did, but it was just some random Fire Nation officer.
Not to mention her favorite Shut-Down-Your-Voluntary-Nervous-System-With-A-Poke bit....
Oh yes, after she dumped the emotionally abusive headcase mentioned above, Ty Lee was thrown in the same dungeon as the same Kyoshi Warriors she helped imprison not long beforehand. She was next seen wearing their colours and pointing out that they... bonded. Needless to say, there are multiplepossibleimplications here.
And the leader of the warriors is the above mentioned Suki. Considering that Ty Lee may have "bonded" with Suki, and Ty Lee also has a crush on Sokka... Even more possibilities unfold.
This troper has stumbled across (and subsequently bookmarked) a picture illustrating the above. No link provided, as it is EXTREMEMLY NSFW.
Honestly, though, Iroh did hit on both an Earth Kingdom teller (faking it), and Aunt Wu (for real). Iroh is, for all his awesomeness, probably also a Dirty Old Man in some ways. Dragon of the West gets the ladies hot.
Dirty? No, no, no — he's gallant. Seriously, for some women, humor, kindness, intelligence, and joie de vivre go ten times farther than mere good looks ever could.
Well, as far as looks are concerned he may be old and his face might not be all that attractive but did anyone else notice how ripped he got in prison?
Am I the only one who would have loved to watch Iroh bust himself out of prison in the middle of an eclipse?!
"The Southern Raiders" opens with lingering shots on most of the main cast sleeping. Teo fangirls were particularly giddy.
For this troper, it's whenever Zuko is shown sleeping. Mmm. He looks so cuddle-invitingly vulnerable when he's sleeping...
Bondage is a ridiculous constant in Avatar, nearly every episode featuring at least one main character captured. Sokka is the most common victim (he was once captured by a hole in the ground), but Aang is the recipient of the most elaborate setups, one of which was done personally by Zuko, who also tied Katara to a pole at one point (and whispered huskily in her ear, but surely that's irrelevant).
Just mentioning that scene sends many a Zuko fangirl's heart a flutter, and is a prominent trope in more * ahem* mature Zutara fic. You can rescue me from the pirates any day, Zuko!
The first season finale has the rest of the cast rescuing and untying Aang. So far normal, right? Then Sokka remarks that "this is some quality rope" and keeps it. We never do find out what he used it for.
Considering that his girlfriend already has an entry on this page regarding her use of ropes...
He used it to tie up Zuko, whom they brought with them on Appa to keep him from freezing, actually. After they get off Appa, you see Zuko has untied himself and left the rope behind. Suki's gonna have to teach Sokka a few things. And yes, my mind just went straight there.
Katara and Zuko in duelingitout in the Oasis. My. God. Add in the line "Aren't you a big girl now?" If you excuse me, I need to go take a shower now...
The fact that Aang is yards away in the Avatar State doesn't help. I'd give a link, but, uh, NSFW. Let's just say the risk of being caught can be a major turn on
Some people find water erotic. Some people find fire erotic. Put the two together... ugh.
How has the dance between Katara and Aang in The Headband been overlooked for so long? A dance that starts out courtly and composed, but swiftly turns athletic - and then acrobatic. High kicks, a near-kiss, ending up with Aang dipping Katara quite low, each panting for breath, sweating profusely, and grinning ecstatically?
Speaking of fangirls, there was quite a bit of outrage that Aang grew hair for season three, and much relief was at hisImportant Haircut half way through.
Grand Finale: Azula is defeated by Katara by being tied with chains, and is left to flail around helplessly, screaming. Dear God.
This troper found it very cute how Azula cried multiple times in the ending. And that made this troper have a thing for Azula even more.
Not to mention Ozai, with whom Aang does pretty much the same thing except he held him in place with some rocks. While they're both shirtless.
I hope that this troper was not the only one who enjoyed Ozai going shirtless a little too much. Not to mention the part where he was held in place by said rocks while sprawled on the ground and relatively powerless to stop it. This troper found it incredibly appealing. Mmm.
The "vines" that harassed and dragged off the Gaang in the Swamp.
Just realised - what one man could do, another waterbender could duplicate. E.g. Katara/Aang bondage fight; first one to be immobilised... submits.
How about Joo Dee, a good looking young woman Brainwashed to obey every order? How about a whole room of them? How about Jet, a good looking young guy?
The creators once stated in an interview that they expected the female members of their audience would appreciate them adding another girl to the Gaang and were surprised when the fans telling them Toph was their favorite character were guys...
The fact that they were surprised is endlessly hilarious, considering how relatively Genre Savvy they are regarding the fandom.
She did get all the best jokes, normally reserved for the Big Guy.
She's basically an incredibly masculine girl, of course lots of guys would love that. It's basically the same as how most girls love an incredibly effeminate man.
As I noted on the main page, Toph gets a disproportionate amount of fanart, and a lot of it has her grown up. And in several of them, she's wearing pretty dresses. I don't deign to understand why.
Katara's Painted Lady outfit. Especially the voice. Uh...
She's barefoot in that outfit too. And there are 2 shots that specifically give focus to her bare feet.
One wonders if they were aware that painted lady is old slang for hooker when they wrote that episode.
Sokka. With his hair down. Rose in mouth optional.
Jeez, seconded here. Then again, just Sokka in general. Snarky, silly warrior boy? Thin and tanned with pretty blue eyes? GIMME.
I don't have a thing for him, but... all those shots of him shirtless in the Sokka's Master episode did nothing for you?
Indeed. An Obfuscating Stupidity, funny guy who knows his way around a boomerang AND a killer sword? Do. Want. XD
Not to mention the little loincloth/bikini briefs in "The Cave of the Two Lovers", and the sexful greeting he gave Zuko in "The Southern Raiders" that surprisinglygot past the radar. I for one like to indulge in the delusion that the rose was meant for Zuko rather than Suki. XD
Princess Yue. Man, I would love to come in and save her from that unwanted marriage, even if she did die later.
This troper finds Aang in The Awakening to be insanely hot. Not because of the hair, it's the bandages. There is something about guys all bandaged up in recovery that turns this troper on. Yes, I know it's weird.
This troper agrees, but mainly because Aang is very attractive....for a 12 (112) year old.
You are not alone, trust me.
Most certainly. Two words: James Bondage. At least, that's the derivation in THIS troper's mind for her fondness of bandages/gauze/etc.
Ahem. This troper would like to introduce you to the other side of Avatar Roku:Roku: [While looking at his wife-to-be in a flashback] And, of course, being the Avatar doesn't hurt your chances with the ladies..
This troper read a fanfic that brought up the , ah, intimate uses for water-bending...
Bloodbending can be used for rape very easily. Both on women as on men. Also you can use it to bounce girls breasts at will.
Oh dear god... The possibilities with bloodbending. You could also control OTHER blood filled parts of the body...
Right... her cat smile. Yea that is the most appealing screenshot of her on avatarspirit.net
I don't know how common noticing this is, but for any discipline fans, "The Headband" was quite an episode. You've got Sokka's act pretending to be Aang's father, and the Fire Nation teacher with her pointer.
Plus Katara's disguise, as Aang's heavily-pregnant mother. I know that's a kink for someone.
The whole Zuko plotline of "The Earth King" hit this troper's hurt/comfort kink hard.
Thirded! Sick!Zuko fics are the main reason I even bother to read fics.
Do the Sozin's Comet shots in Aang's Book 1 visions look a little◊phallic◊to anyone else?
What has been seen can't be unseen...
Anyone else remember Jet's first appearance, when Katara froze him to the tree? Mmm.
The Boulder, a muscular, constantly shirtlessCaptain Ersatz of wrestler The Rock, who this troper has always has the hots for. I also have a soft spot for Chit Sang, the big muscular Fire Nation prisoner who helps Sokka and Zuko escape from Boiling Rock.
In one episode, Aang's training blindfolded (he's got his FN band wrapped around his eyes) Then Katara and Toph fights it out in the mud. After veiwing this episode at night with something to drink, I went to bed and had an odd dream that Aang (blind) was fighting Katara in her underwear in the mud. Oh, and he only had his pants on. NEVER drinking again. <____<
The episode "The Southern Raiders" Was just filled with fetish fuel for this troper. Angry Katara, blood bending, Sokka with his hair down... the list goes on.
This troper would like to add Zuko in a ninja outfit. Squee!
I'm surprised that nobody mentioned the episode with the giant drill machine. Azula, Mei, and Ty Lee get covered in yellowish sludge. Just imagine it as banana and/or lemon pudding for an even better effect.
Now you got this troper thinking about them slipping and sliding; getting pudding in uncomfortable places. *Shudder* 'I'll be in my bunk.'
Uh, wounded Hakoda leaning on someone for support? I mean, DILF+Hurt/Comfort+Limping/Leaning? Teh Hot, I say. Even if he was leaning on his daughter. Although I do have a thing for platonic friendship.
For me, its Toph. Not the raw power or the jerkassness or her assertive nature, but just a combination of both her blank gray eyes and that incredibly, undeniably wicked smile she has when she's either beating people up or about to beat them up. A twelve year-old girl should not be that sexy.
^ Seconded. This female troper crushed on her before she knew she was polysexual. Agressivee, talented, yet vulnerable and petite; masculine in many ways, but with pom poms or something on her headband? There's just no one like her.
Hell yes. I would watch Avatar: The Last Airbender just for toph. She’s blind. She’s short. She’s got sickly white eyes. She’s short. She doesn't wear shoes. And she’s short.
