Now all those fans who find the cheerleader in Heroes with the Wolverine power open to projecting fantasies of all manner of hardcores sadism, bloodplay and sex-mutilation fetishes, please stand up. Uh-huh, thought so. (And she's a Cheerleader in the first place.)
Especially given how often the damage is self-inflicted. This character is just built for sadomasochism.
The owner of a particularly well-known movie/TV/entertainment website pointed out in a review during season 1 that Claire would physically be a "perpetual virgin" due to her regenerative powers. Not to be confused with a Technical Virgin.
Holy shit, that scene in the Volume Three evil future with Claire torturing Peter...
This show has Matt Parkman being a mind reader, among other mind-related powers... hypnofetish anyone?
A man who knows exactly what you want, and is willing to do it? Yes please!
Hell, this is played straight in the show, with his wife, before they break up. She practically comes out and says she had the best sex ever.
And to add to the point above.. Parkman tied down, helpless (and shirtless!) while an experienced older man explains the changes going on in his body?
This troper is sure that someone was turned on by Mohinder being trapped on the ceiling by glass shards, bleeding and helpless.
This troper personally has never been more turned on by anything on regular network television than Mohinder holding a scary needle and whispering into Sylar's ear, "And it's going to hurt."
Dude, and that was after Mohinder had strapped Sylar to a chair and made him scream for several hours. There's good reason one of the ship names is S&M.
That has to be the line that launched a thousand Mylar fics.
Hell, he has started to cocoon people in slime for crying out loud.
This troper is not ashamed to admit that Mohinder ripping off Maya's shirt with one hand was probably the hottest thing he's seen on television.
What? No one's gonna mention clothesless Mohinder? And the fact that the guy playing him used to be a model?
It's pretty safe to say that Mohinder is just always fetish fuel. He could make eating a sandwich look sexy. And now I'm going to start having fantasies about him eating a sandwich. Good lord that man is beautiful◊.
And for anyone who has a thing for tender, fatherly types, there was the whole of volume 2 where he and Matt pretty much adopted Molly. This also doubles as fuel for any Mohinder/Matt shippers. (Any fangirls out there who say they didn't immediately think "gay couple" after learning about the adoption are lying.)
The troper has never been more turned on by Peter than when he was nailing Sylar to a table. No, I mean like with a nailgun! No, I mean like actually nailing hi- Dammit writers, you did this to yourselves.
Elle being more than willing to electrically shock the objects of her affection is bad enough on its own. The fact it's Kristen Fucking Bell doing it just makes the whole thing so much hotter.
Have we forgotten Candice the shapeshifter? Sure, she's evil, and sure, her "true form" was a bit Shallow Hal, but who cares?
Among Sylar's fantasies she offered to make come true were travel, twins and, lastly, him.
Two Sylars!? Best. Fantasy. Ever.
There's a scene in Ep. 3 of season 3 where Claire and her biological mother lock themselves in a shipping container. Claire can heal. Her mother has fire-generating powers, and uses them to a)burn up most of the air in the container b)heat up the walls c)intimidate Claire. It involves lot of yelling, and Claire on her knees, crying. Did I mention that her mom is a fairly attractive older woman, who is specifically trying to "train" Claire?
Oh, hell yeah. Hot, steamy, sexy torture.
And in the latest episode, Elle and Claire hold hands after getting in a catfight which ended with Kristen Bell getting a bucket of water dumped over her. Really.
Claude's power has a certain kink factor. He has probably the most control over his power of all the characters, and there's something about being felt up by invisible hands...And just the invisibility in general. And maybe something to do with being Christopher Eccleston.
Puppet Master Eric Doyle and his ability to physically manipulate people. I could just hear the incestuous fanfic being written as he captured Claire, Meredith and Mrs. Bennet.
How about in the Season 3 episode It's Coming and the scene where a chained-up Elle is electrocuting a begging-for-punishment Sylar, making his clothes disintegrate in the process. And Arthur Petrelli is watching the whole thing on a hidden camera. Got bondage, electro-play, masochism and voyeurism even if you ignore the obvious sexual double entendre in the episode title.
There's also the scene where Elle's electricity goes out of control, and has to put it into Claire, who can heal and now doesn't feel pain. Basically, the whole scene was to make Elle and Claire hold hands.
No, basically the whole scen was to make Elle and Claire hold hands in a way to make this troper and thousands of men and lesbians drop to their knees and and shout "Hallelujah! Thank you Lord!"
Have people really forgotten the entire sequence of Sylar breaking into the Bennet household and finally taking Claire's power? This troper now likes Sylaire on the basis of that scene alone.
this troper must agree. I'm not sure if they intended there to be so very much erotic subtext in there, but YUM.
This had this troper's mother talking about how horrible hitting/threatening women is. It was uncomfortable considering that this troper was absolutely glued to the screen. If you know what I mean.
This troper would like to point out that Claire being telekenetically held against the wall brought up some rather pleasant images for her.
Monica Dawson anyone? I can think of some...ahem...INTERESTING ways her power to mimic ANY physical action might work.
HRG anyone? Think about it - he could abduct you, restrain you and bend you to his will. And he could do all this without any powers.
I personally liked that scene during the period where HRG ironically worked at a copy shop and he showed his asshole manager who was boss, all without any powers or even his gun!
Sylar can now shapeshift and, more importantly, can alter specific parts of his body. That could have some very...useful applications.
Plus what's the first form he takes? An attractive woman. Methinks the writers are doing this on purpose
It's a built in excuse for "Even the guys want him" isn't it?
The whole "Sylaire" scene in the Season 4 finale was so fetishy that it either made viewers Squee with joy or just felt Squick like Claire. First Sylar shapeshifts into Claire to trick HRG, then shortly afterwards smells her hair and claims that "This is fun." Then, he gives her another Hannibal Lecture as he forces her to drink wine with him. Lastly, he gets comfortable with her on the couch as he teases the idea of her becoming his First Lady. The look on Claire's face the whole time shows that she is not pleased at all. Sylar and the fans though...
Doesn't help that Zachary Quinto and Hayden Panettiere have some disturbing natural chemistry anyway.
Oh, by "forces her to drink," we mean "Telekinetically controls her every move like a puppet, making her get and serve the wine first, and then sit down and drink, as she struggles the whole time but is unable to move much or speak when he doesn't allow it."
Speaking of the finale, the Sylar-Nathan identity issues smorgasbord has so many demented possibilities, some probably don't even have a name yet...
Tracy's new power. Bringing new meaning to the terms "Wet n Wild" and "Watersports".
Claire's healing ability also extends to her liver meaning she could easily drink you under the table leaving you unconscious, and vulnerable....take that where you will, and in the episode after that we see an full episode with shots of Young!Angela's butt though that fetish may just extend to this troper as she also looks like a girl he had unrequited crush in high school.
Daphne. That face, that manner. I'm wondering whether the power would be beneficial or not, but-but- Ah screw it. I'll be in my bunk.
And we haven't even touched the whole Peter/Nathan/Claire Hoyay/Petrelli Family angle. Or the Sylar/Mohinder/Matt triangle
Not to mention Sylar!Matt/Mohinder, when Sylar was trapped in Matt's head. (So what if Mohinder was dead/trapped in an asylum at the time? That's what AU fanfic is for.)
There's also all the potential festishs involving "Sythan" or "Synathan" thanks to the end of Volume Four.
I have seen some fanfics where "Synathan" stuggles with having what he thinks are incestous feelings for Claire and/or Peter.
Let's just say there's a ton of identity issues and fetists to explore there.
Am I the only one who gets all kinds of strange feelings watching the way Samuel interacts with Edgar and Lydia? It's the subtext and the closeness, not to mention how Lydia is always barebacked. Furthermore, Samuel always has the creepy pervy stare around Edgar and Lydia. He also touches both of them A lot.
The closetalking does it for me. And Edgar always has this challenging stare when Samuel uses his pervy one.
Sylar's ability to know "what makes things tick" has given rise to the idea that he understands what makes women (or men) "tick."
Some seriously dirty thoughts went through my mind at the scene from "The Fifth Stage" where Peter pins Sylar onto a table, and completely not realizing he's straddling the guy. And then he uses the nail gun. Many "nailed" jokes were made.
One of the taglines for the episode from one of the trailers was: "Meanwhile, Peter struggles to accept the truth and takes extreme measures to get what he wants." It's just begging for slash.
Samuel's voice. The deliberately schizophrenic accent just makes it sexier, IMO, and he can be so persuasive. I'd let him persuade me any day.
Anybody else get ideas from Nikki's abusive relationship with herself?
As absolutely horrific as the cause was, and as much of a Magnificent Bastard as Samuel is in causing it, I couldn't help but find his kissing Lydia before she died, to show her what he'd done and why a little hotter than it was probably meant to be. I think it's partly because it seemed like he was asking her forgiveness even though he knew he wouldn't get it, and that he's genuinely sorry he felt he had to sacrifice her for the good of the family as a whole. As upset as that scene made me, it also turned me on a little more than it ought to have.
Peter and Sylar trapped in that dream world? An hour in the real world is a year in the dream world and they were stuck there for pretty much half a day. What did they do to pass the time in that dream world aside from hitting that wall and annoying each other? The mind wanders...
Has anyone else noticed that about half of the things on this page involve Sylar? Is it safe to say that he alone is fetish fuel?
Yes, it is very safe to say that. Being pinned against the wall by a threatening, dark, and extremely hot man while his whispers rough things into your ear and has his way with you? And by "has his way with you," I mean he "takes your power with (in my opinion) /deeply sexual/ subtext? And when you pair him with an innocent (and also very hot) cheerleader...
I don't know what it is, but there's something about Edgar that gives me squiggly feelings. It might be the mohawk, it might be the superspeed, or maybe it's those knives...
All of the characters have to have conversations with one another about four inches away from each others' faces. In every episode. Say it with me now, UST. Torturous (and sometimes squicky) UST.
Tell me about it. The first episode I saw of Heroes was one of the later ones in season one that I watched with my mom. Peter and Nathan were doing that up close and personal converation thing and I made a comment about how cool it was to have a gay couple on a show like this, which resulted in my mom giving me a dirty look and explaining that they were brothers, as if it should have been obvious. Sorry mom, but you know most brothers don't have that much sexual tension.
It just occurred to me that Claire's ability to heal quickly from anything could make for a lot of fun if you're into bloodplay. Can you say "Elizabeth Bathory"?
Anytime Peter does something villainous does it for me. Some examples:
Peter thinks he’s saving the world in season two, but in reality Adam Monroe is manipulating him into helping him with his viral apocalypse. The fact that Peter refuses to believe that Adam could be a bad guy, even when several reputable sources tell him so is case of Peter holding the Idiot Ball, but at the same time the fact that Adam has been able to so thoroughly win Peter’s trust and even get him to do things like attack Matt and Hiro is strangely hot.
In other words, Adam Monroe manipulating Peter into doing evil things while Peter thinks that it's to save the world is ridiclously hot. Also, most Peter/Adam slash runs with what's going on in canon along with a seduction/corruption theme. (Adam seduces Peter and corrupts him and gets him to do evil or morally gray things. There's a reason why the Peter/Adam livejournal community is called puppet_master12)
In the fourth episode of volume 3 (season 3), Peter absorbs Sylar’s power and goes berserk and starts behaving like Sylar. Once again, it’s strangely hot and gave me unexpected tingly feelings. Peter can’t control “The Hunger” that comes with the ability, and so he saws open Future!Nathan’s head and attempts to do this to Angela when she won’t reveal her secrets. Oh yeah, and Peter ends up in a very homoerotic fight with Sylar where he kicks Sylar's ass and tells Sylar that he’s weak. Then Peter declares, “I’m the most special.” Mmm, yes.
Since Sylar is fetish fuel, maybe that’s why Peter acting like him is so hot. Curse you forever Arthur Petrelli for removing that ability from Peter.
Oh and during the fight, Peter talks about how he's beginning to understand why Sylar is a killer because all the power he has "feels good". The way Peter says that is pretty erotic.
